Zurich is a beautiful town, you know that already I guess. But in that time at the end of every year, the city takes it to another level. I was out this week to find some impressions of the scenery and the christmas lighting. The purpose was to feel the city and its christmas "vibe".
Since Zurich is the unofficial capital of Switzerland (ask every local), there's always a rush. But in November and December, people seem to be nicer than other times. Maybe it is related to "Lucy", the official christmas lighting of the city. Thousands of light bulbs hanging above the heads of those, who are in a constant rush for anything and everything. And to me, Lucy seems to have an influence on all of us. She makes us calmer and kinder. At least, that's my impression.
I don't know about you, but I somehow love it all. Although there's a lot of stress, rain, snow and everything between, I wouldn't miss this time of the year. It makes me feel comfortable. It makes me feel happy since I know, it was another good year and yet another one is ready to start.
Maybe one day you will be there and experience it yourself. Maybe one day you agree with me. Maybe you won't. But the fact, that this very special time each year has an impact on all of us, is something you can't ignore I guess...
