I don't want to loose too much time for a description of this specific and ultimate sunrise on top of Mount Pilatus, next to Lucerne. I guess the mood speaks for itself. It was one of the most beautiful experiences in my life. Hands down. As a traveller, I'm constantly looking for that special moment where everything else becomes unimportant. And as a photographer, I'm constantly looking for the perfect set with great light und a story to tell. This early morning got pretty close from what it's worth.
We stayed in Hotel Pilatus Kulm on 2132m above sea level. And we got up early. It was 05:15AM when we hit the first tread and it took us quick 10 minutes to get on top. And at 05:38AM the first sun rays hit our faces. It was stunning. Just beautiful. Quiet. Peaceful. And unforgettable. A morning in the alps is a very special experience. So different. So calm. It's like time freezes. And when the weather is on your side like it was on this very morning, it's as good as it gets.
